Rescue Force standby during the match of Simba vs. Coastal Union. Result 1:0 for Simba. Nearly empty stadium due to tensions over election results. Stadium built by Chinese company, fire extinguishers with Chinese markings and prints. Observation: The Tanzanian market in general is dominated by cheap Chinese products, creating a climate of strong competition for local products such as clothes or technical equipment. And on the way to the stadium a bushfire, but another unit takes over.
Breathing apparatus training at the fire station together with Katundu, chief fire fighter. Increasing preparedness for feared clashes after the official announcement of ruling party CCM’s victory in the election.
